Voice of a Native Son
There are not many Native American blogs out there, but I did came across a good one! Voice of a Native Son covers a lot of ground and is a good read.

"Indian?" Good word; Bad word?
While attending an Anishinabek weekend on Manitoulin Island, I heard a Spanish scholar say he found it curious that our history states that Columbus mistook North America for India, hence he called the people "Indians."
He said in Spanish history Columbus described the people as "a people 'in dios'" - a people in God!
I Googled around and confirmed his statement. "India," the country received its name from the people of the Indus Valley through which runs the longest river in India, the heartland of ancient India.
